RaveGeo Compiler
The RaveGeo Compiler converts geographical vector databases
to the RaveGeo format. The compiler is configured by an XML file that sets the characteristics of the conversion. Examples of options are number of resolution levels, at what resolution levels what objects should occur and degree of generalization between resolution levels.
The RaveGeo compression is loss-less and the topology of the dataset is preserved.
The Compiler can also create indexes of any attribute for fast
look-ups. Indexing is useful for instance for geocoding streetnames. Provides
quick answers to questions such as: "Return all streets starting with letter 'A'
in Alaska".
